The Orchestra of Northern New York was founded by Music Director and Conductor Kenneth Andrews in 1988. Now in its twenty-ninth season, the Orchestra’s mission seeks to enrich the quality of life in the North Country through live performances of orchestral music by outstanding musicians and to emphasize the engagement of area youth in the appreciation of music. ONNY is the only year round professional symphony orchestra from Rochester to Burlington and Syracuse to Ottawa.
Community Performance Series is a college-community partnership presenting world-class performing arts opportunities in northern New York. CPS has been in residence at SUNY Potsdam since 1989, ensuring enhanced access to performances for the people of the region.
The Guest Artist Series, now in its twenty-sixth year, has brought a rich variety of world-renowned artists to Potsdam. In 1995, CPS developed the Meet the Arts series to introduce children and families to the performing arts through school-time programs and family-friendly events.
What A Raquette Music and Dance supports North Country performing artists, ensembles, venues, and patrons in presenting public concerts, rehearsals, classes, workshops, and other live events in the North Country focused primarily on music and/or dance. WARMD particularly encourages participatory events featuring local performers and/or participants.
